Downtown Tokyo, with Jordan

Eiji and Jordan exit Milliways into the middle of a large department store in downtown Tokyo.

Eiji blushes a little, remembering that they probably should have exited the fitting room one at a time. A woman walking by gives them a strange look.

"Okay, well just to warn you, my friends are weird," Eiji tells Jordan, pointing his thumb towards the door. "They're in a tennis shop a few doors down."

"Travel from America is rather expensive," Fuji agrees.

Only a few more minutes' walk to the station.

"Travel, and stay, and all the time." Jordan nods, agreeing. "I'm lucky I met Eiji."

Speaking of which, Eiji is the target of a bright smile.

Eiji blushes a little bit and smiles back.

"Where are you staying?" Fuji asks. He seems to be looking at Jordan somewhat carefully.

Jordan raises a brow at Fuji, naming a chain hotel she knows is a few stations out of the boys' way... hopefully, the chain exists there too.

Of course, she's not already staying there, but she can take care of it quickly.

Eiji raises both eyebrows at her. He was surprised she was able to answer so quickly.

"Would you like us to take you there after we're done today?" Ōishi asks her.

"Oh, you don't have to. I bugged you guys long enough." And she needs some time to hack into computer systems and set up a room reservation for herself.

They've made it to the train station by this point, so there's a pause in the conversation until they're standing on the platform.

"We should start thinking about where we want to go for dinner," Eiji says. "I'm getting hungry, nya."

"Poor Eiji-chan..." Jordan smiles, tugging him close and kissing his cheek.

Yes, she is teasing him, in a most evil way. Because it was so cute to see him say 'nya'.

Eiji blushes bright red, but can't resist a grin.

Fuji chuckles a little, and Tezuka only raises an eyebrow. But Ōishi looks rather shocked.

"Well, we could, um... Uh... well, where would you like to go, Eiji?" he stutters out.

"Oh, I dunno," Eiji replies. "Um, anything sound good to you, Jordan?"

"I am not fussy." Jordan shrugs. "If you guys are not tired of my face yet, maybe I can head to my hotel and drop my swag, then meet you somewhere."

"That sounds good," Ōishi tells her. "We're probably just heading back to Shinjuku."

"Oh, but won't you need help carrying this stuff?" Eiji chimes in.

Jordan ponders a bit... "Okay, you can help me, Eiji-chan." She winks to him.

"And then we can go meet the others in Shinjuku!" Hopefully it sounds like a good plan.

Sounds good to Eiji! "I'll shoot you an email when we get there. Okay, Oishii*?"

"Yeah... okay," Ōishi replies. He seems a bit hesitant, like he's thinking about something.

"What's wrong?" Eiji asks him, bumping his shoulder a little.

"Nothing. That should work," Ōishi says quickly. "I guess you guys will be going in the opposite direction then."

They've all got the day pass, so they can skip the ticket machines at the station and head straight to the platform. Eiji and Jordan's train comes first.

*Oishii = "tasty." A play-on-words that Eiji likes to use sometimes.

Jordan waits for the train, making small walk, and gets in with Eiji when it arrives.

She waves to the boys, and as the train leaves the station completely, turn to Eiji. "So... did I confuse everybody yet?"

"Huh?" Eiji turns around from where he was still looking out the window. He'd noticed Ōishi watching their train as it left.

"Oh. I don't know," Eiji replies. "Confused... in what way?"

He can't guarantee that he'll know anything, though... Eiji's generally oblivious to most of the people around him.

"Confused, as in, they are wondering where the weird girl came from?" She grins widely.

"Oh," Eiji replies. "Well, they didn't ask... which I guess is kind of weird."

He bites his lip. Maybe they'll ask him about it later, when Jordan's not around. Crap. He's going to have to make sure he has a plausible story ready...

"Well, I guess we will have to come up with a good story, in case they start asking, neh?" She nudges Eiji playfully. "But right now..."

She opens her unipack and pulls out her subcompact notebook. "Time to set up my hotel."

"I guess so," Eiji starts to reply, when she takes out her computer.

"What are you doing?" he asks, confused and curious.

"I am looking for wireless networks..." The computer boots amazingly fast. "...unprotected ones I can get into. There. Now I will set up a room reservation in the hotel for me."

Yes, she can do that.

"Woah. How are you doing that?" Eiji leans over, trying to watch her work. Not that he'd understand any of it, though.

"I get online, then use a few tools I made myself to enter the hotel reservation database." Jordan shrugs, like it's no big deal. "I set up a room for me, and add a little virus to delete it later, so I leave no traces of being there."

"Wow," Eiji says. "I didn't know you could do that with a virus."

"Well, it is not technically a virus... more like a Worm and Trojan mix: it installs itself while looking harmless, lies in wait for an order or a set time, does what I want it to do, then deletes itself." She peruses the screen. "Two nights should be enough, if you don't mind me hanging around your world that long?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah, that's fine," Eiji replies. (He was slightly dazed by her technobabble. Yes, it was simple, but Eiji knows nothing about it.) "I mean, as long as... Well, I guess it doesn't matter, since you live alone. You can do whatever you want."

He pauses. "What are you going to do for two more days?"
